Life Limiting Illness

Any diagnosis that may lead to limitation of life expectancy can be difficult to come to terms with.  Often a life limiting illness diagnosis will trigger an emotional response (disbelief, anger, denial, amongst others) for many of us. These are all natural human responses.

However with advances of modern medicine many of us are faced with living with this increased awareness of our mortality for many years to come.  When we find ourselves struggling to come to terms with a life limiting illness the knowledge itself may make it difficult for us to carry on our day to day lives.

It is fine if you can cope but if you feel you can't, it may help to talk to your GP or a counsellor as this may not only help you understand what is going on, but may also help you to live in the changed landscape of your life
